Still Life Creek
The subtle coloring in this photograph, coupled with its perfect lines and framing, make this one of Karma's finest. I love the slightly reflective stream and the fog thick enough to make this field seem endless, and yet not so thick as to hide the feathery tree in the background. This is a supreme composition - thank you for sharing it with our group, |Ash|!

The golden lite of evening, snow and the city just came together perfectly in this image, I think. The tree with the branches in the foreground perfectly frames this portion of the city of Vancouver. The branches looks so right, all snow-covered, ready for the holiday season.
I love the clarity of the reflections and the over-all slow shutter effect.

This soft and subtle image strikes me as very colorful, in it’s own way. I think maybe the rings made from the dripping feet or the reflections of the feet off the edge made me chuckle and see it as colorful. The striking beauty of this egret is captured stunningly with the setting sun flowing through it wings. I love all the vivid details viewed in the enlarged photo.

Falling down
Nothing like a set of mysterious stairs covered in Fall leaves to get your mind wandering to other places. I love this photograph, with the thick brick wall beside the turning stiars - holding you in, but pushing you along. Great photo, SuziJane!

On the way for the heat wave
I love to be transported into other worlds. I can feel the heat and the dry air. The photograph itself is a beautiful, expansive shot of African desert. What a lovely sunrise. I am most drawn to travel photographs that give a sense of both environment and culture, so the inclusion of the camels and guides makes me feel more included on the journey.

November Goldfinch
‘Tis the season for the birds....I love the gentle, soft look of this goldfinch, he is so seed colored, like the food he eats. I love the way he is keeping an eye on you and his claws gripping so hard. I admire this composition and also the soft background, his golden appearance blending in. And the large version is terrific.
