LIve Oak on Foggy Backlighting
First, I have had an incredible time looking at trees today! I knew one of the glorious postings would become my choice for Photo Of The Day. I settled on Live Oak on Foggy Backlighting, a splendid oak tree photo with many details and awsome lighting, --large is spectacular-- the tree speaking loudly to me.

This is a stunning portrait with incredible lighting and texture. Portraits are often far more intimate than even standing face to face with each other - you get to stare and examine and familiarize yourself with every physical character. Frozen window
I love looking at this photo, the strong minimalistic feature really attracted me. The winter scene is very beautiful, the snow crystals on the window and the walls are well done. The photo has a nostalgic feel to it that also drew me in.

UFO on Cameron Creek
I have to quote from Lawrence's description of this photo for everyone to fully appreciate the spectacular moment he has captured:
"This ice formation in Cameron Creek Canyon in Waterton National Park caught my attention while photographing other parts of the creek and falls. It was about eight inches off of the water and seemed to just float there... adding a little water blur with the long exposure gave it the feeling that it was roaring upstream like a hovercraft."

Winter Morning
I favored this photo many hours ago and it has stayed in my mind ever since. I love the clarity of the image and I love the composition!
I also love the sun rising and reflecting on the ice and the birds congregating to figure out how to get water and warm their feet.
